A Two Day Beach Wedding in Punta Sal, Peru

Some weddings feel less like a single event and more like an entire weekend shared with the people you love.
Paula and Andreu’s wedding in Punta Sal was exactly that. Friends and family traveled from Peru, Spain and the United States to celebrate with them by the ocean, turning the weekend into a relaxed beach gathering with a lot of energy, laughter and dancing.
The wedding took place at Hotel Punta Sal and lasted two days, giving everyone time to enjoy the beach, spend time together and experience the celebration without rushing through it.

A Destination Beach Wedding in Punta Sal
Punta Sal is one of the most beautiful beach destinations in northern Peru. Its warm climate, long coastline and relaxed atmosphere make it a natural setting for couples planning a destination wedding by the ocean.
For Paula and Andreu, the location was not just where the wedding happened. It was part of the experience.
Guests arrived from different countries and stayed together throughout the weekend. There was time for the beach, long conversations, drinks, music and all the spontaneous moments that happen when a wedding becomes a shared escape.
Paula and Andreu
Paula and Andreu created a celebration that felt warm, open and full of life.
With guests coming from Peru, Spain and the United States, the wedding had an international energy from the beginning. Different accents, different stories and different groups of friends came together naturally around them.
That mix gave the celebration a very particular rhythm. It felt familiar and new at the same time, like a reunion and a destination wedding all in one.
A Wedding Weekend at Hotel Punta Sal
The wedding took place over two days at Hotel Punta Sal, allowing the celebration to extend beyond the ceremony and reception.
This made a huge difference to the atmosphere. Instead of seeing each other only during the main event, family and friends had the entire weekend to share the beach, spend time together and enjoy the surroundings.
The reception turned into a huge party, with everyone fully committed to the celebration. The energy was relaxed, spontaneous and completely connected to the setting.
That is one of my favorite things about photographing weddings at the beach. Once the formal part is over, people tend to let go. They dance longer, stay outside later and stop worrying about how everything is supposed to look.

Beach Wedding Photography in Punta Sal
A beach wedding in Punta Sal offers a very different visual experience from a city wedding.
The light changes constantly, the ocean creates its own rhythm and the entire day feels more open. There is room for movement, for big groups, for quiet portraits and for moments that happen without being planned.
For me, the goal was to photograph Paula and Andreu’s wedding as a full experience. Not only the ceremony and the reception, but also the people who traveled to be there, the time spent together and the feeling of having an entire weekend by the sea.
